The King and His Ride
Elvis Presley on his '57 FLH Softail Panhead
Size: 18" x 8" x 12"
Weight: 30 pounds
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Elvis's passing. 30 reproductions of Elvis's '57 FLH Softail Panhead were built by Harley-Davidson. Each accompanied by a Jeff Decker sculpture and a David Uhl print. A lottery was held to win the right to order one of the 29 bikes that were delivered at Graceland on the 15th of August, 2002, with the final bike auctioned on January 8, 2003, Elvis's birthday. Truth be told, Jeff felt this subject was a bit out of character for his art...not because it was Elvis, but because the bike had 16" wheels, fat tires and weighed more than a race bike.
