Since the jewel of its engine was covered by a fairing, Jeff was hesitant to sculpt this piece of motorcycling history. However, with the racing rule book in the late 60's favoring it's flathead configuration and the venerable KR750 was able to hold off its technologically superior competition just one more time. It's almost as if Cal Rayborn knew this as he reached up to touch the checkers while crossing the finish line. The Daytona 200 favored machines that could endure. What the KR's motor lacked in sophistication it made up for with longevity.
